Sigma 70mm f/2.8 DG Macro 'Art' lens review with samples (Full-frame & APS-C)

Here's a new Macro lens from Sigma - an update to their popular (and seriously aging) original 70mm f/2.8 Macro. But this new lens comes in at a somewhat high price of £500, and without image stabilization - does it have a trick up its sleeves?

All pictures taken by me on Canon 6D, and Sony a7R II and a5100 cameras.
