How To Make The Smoky Ginger Cocktail

Today we're going to show you how to make the smoky ginger, this is a mezcal cocktail recipe request that came in during our live stream. So, we do what our fans asked, we made it and filmed the tasting.

The smoky ginger cocktail uses ginger liqueur, however the ginger liqueur doesn't "bite" as much as you'd expect it to in this drink; it simply adds depth of character. If you're looking for more ginger bite, you may want to muddle some ginger with it.

Smoky Ginger Cocktail
1 oz Mezcal
1 oz Tequila
2 oz Ginger liqueur
1/2 oz Fresh lime juice

In the end, the ginger is muted, the tequila comes through and there is a bit of a mezcal flare, but not too intense on smoke (depending on the mezcal you used).
