Born in Jamaica and raised in the Bronx, HoodCelebrityy made a strong impression when she dropped "The Takeover" on SoundCloud last year. In a flash, lots of heads were turning toward the twentysomething MC whose blend of trap and dancehall had an instantly seductive vibe, and whose confidence was obvious with every rhyme she spit. Her 'Can't Believe It's Just a Girl' mixtape bolstered all the props that she was receiving, and early shout-outs from future stars like Cardi B further and features with French Montana cemented her cred. Fast forward and HoodCelebrityy's rolling with Epic and flexing in the video for "Walking Trophy," a hot little track that's all about pushing posi vibes and stressing self-worth. She also has the song "Find My Way Out" on the 'Superfly' soundtrack. The singer has said it's about a woman who knows she's beautiful without men having to tell her. In our 'Three Thoughts' interview, HoodCelebrityy explains how to live your best life by "burstin' the bubble" of other people's expectations and simply being yourself.
