The Jungle Bird is a fairly easy to build cocktail considering it fits into your tiki drink recipe books. You'll find the use of dark rum, specifically a Jamaican rum along side the use of campari.

The Jungle Bird
1.5 oz Jamaican dark rum
0.75 oz Campari
4 oz Pineapple juice
0.5 oz Fresh lime juice
0.5 oz Demerara syrup
Garnish: pineapple wedge

The jungle bird fits well into the tiki design: mysterious and intriguing with some tropical flair and a bitter bite, which fits a lot of Donn Beach cocktail designs. But, the Jungle Bird isn't a donn beach creation, but a creation from the Aviary Bar in Kuala Lumpur.

While Derrick isn't a huge fan of campari, this is a great use for it inside of a tiki drink. But, not everyone's going to be a big fan of a jungle bird, you need to like a bit of bitter. Out of everyone on the set, more liked it than not, but there were a few sour puss faces going on sipping on the Jungle Bird recipe.
