Chromeo - Chromeo Break Down The Artwork for "Head Over Heels"

Dave-1 and P-Thugg, the funky duo behind the Canadian synth-pop band Chromeo, took the time to talk about their fifth studio release, 'Head Over Heels,' and its cover art with their Art Director Charlotte Delarue. By constantly blending different genres and styles, the band is creating music with layers to unfold and excite fans. This made it paramount that the album's artwork reflects that sensibility by mixing the low-brow with the high-brow and injecting their signature sense of humor. The band also takes a moment to self-critique, subverting their history of covers displaying female legs by shaving their own and donning a pair of pumps. "Stop having that dichotomy between men and women," explains Dave 1, "we were just like 'eh, that doesn't resonate with us in 2018 anymore.'"
