The Big Trees

The lumberman Jim Fallon is greatly interested in logging the big sequoia redwood trees in northern California. A Quaker colony and their religous leader Elder Bixby have a special relationship to those trees and try to save them from logging. Jim falls for the leaders daughter, Alicia, but does not change his plan to log the trees. When Yukon, Jim'r right-hand finds out about those plans he changes sides and supports the locals to fight Jim. Another timber rival Cleve Gregg gets involved in the fight as well. They even try to kill Jim, but instead kill Yukon. A dramatic change of heart in Jim leads to the settlers defeating Gregg.
