Amara La Negra's Three Thoughts on Gender Equality

The breakout star of 'Love & Hip Hop: Miami' is an Afro-Latina artist who's helping heat up summer 2018. Amara La Negra's "What A Bam Bam" is a party groove that rides a classic Sister Nancy sample to heaven - or at least to a place around the pool where everyone's flexing their sexy side. The singer also has a way with a ballad. She packs plenty of emotion into "Insecure," and it's helping her make a dent right now. We connected with La Negra (real name: Diana de los Santos) for a chat about gender equality. "I thought about it a lot, and I wish I was born a man," she says. "Women have to wake up in the morning, moisturize, do your hair, do your nails...that's a lot of pressure that men don't have." She's not shy with her opinions. Watch her lay it on the line in Three Thoughts on Gender Equality.

Producer: Jayson Rodriguez and Priya Minhas
